Q3.What does the C-eMap kit include?

Q7.What is E-Max Cartography?
closeE-Max is a cartographic format especially for PDA and Smartphones. By removing all of the value added data provided by Jeppesen Marine's top-of-the-range MAX cartography, but retaining all of the accuracy and detail of Jeppesen Marine's award-winning NT+ charts, eMAX manages to offer wide areas of coverage at convenient prices.
Q8.How can I install the C-eMap?
closeThe C-eMap software is a "plug&play" one therefore there's no need to install anything. Just plug the card in the PDA's slot.
Q9.Is it possible to use the C-eMap SD on my PC?
closeNo, it is not possible using the C-eMap SD card on PC because the C-eMap software is compatible only with Windows Mobile 2003 and 2005 for PDA and Smartphone
Q10.Is it possible to save the C-eMap SD contents directly on the PDA or on another media?
closeNo, it is not possible to transfer the C-eMap SD Card contents directly on to the PDA or another media.
Q11.Is it possible to save two coverages on the same SD Card?
closeNo, it is not possible to load two or more coverages on the same SD Card
Q12.I already have navigation software for PDA, can I order a SD with only the eMAX cartography?
closeThe C-eMap kit comes with the C-eMap navigation software and the eMAX cartography which are not available separately
Q13.Are PDAs with external antennae compatible with the C-eMap as well as the PDAs with internal antennae?
closeYes, the C-eMap is compatible with both the PDAs with external Bluetooth antenna and with internal antennae

closIf you wpould like to exchange your chart from a SD card to a mini or micro SD Card, please contact your local Jeppesen Marine office in order to send the card to Jeppesen Marine

closMini SD cards are sold with an adapter for ordinary SD cards

Q21.What are the eMAX cartography features?
closeThe eMAX charts are vector charts where each object shown gives detailed information. The eMAX cartography has the same detail as MAX cartographic detail but it has not the same value added data (ie. pictures, tidal database, flashing lights, etc...)
Q22.Which are the main functions of the C-eMap software?
closC-eMap is navigation program with a simple and intuitive interface. With C-eMap you always know exactly what your position is in relation to official Hydrographic Office charts and can set a route directly on you PDA-once a complex operation requiring the consultation of nautical charts, the use of a compass and sextant. Main functions: Home Mode, A-B, Zoom In/Out, map scale, cartographic information, Mark, GoTo. C-eMAP software allows also the data display: SOG, COG, TTG, DTG, Lat-Lon, BRG.
Q23.Which Operating Systems are compatible with C-eMAP?
closeC-eMap is compatible with the Windows Mobile 2003 and 2005 operating systems with a slot SD I/O.
Q24.Is C-eMAP compatible with the Nokia operating system?
closNo, so far the C-eMap navigation software is not compatible with the Nokia opeating systems but only with the Windows Mobile 2003 and 2005 operating systems.
Q25.Is the TOM TOM compatible with the C-eMap?
closeJeppesen Marine advises not to load on the PDA both the C-eMap and the TOMTOM software at the same time; the TOMTOM software may damage C-eMap drivers resulting in C-eMap not working correctly.
